That depends on your definition. Last I heard he still hasn't passed the school curriculum.

[Much to Raine's ire. He settles the bottle down on the floor before reaching up. A few simple tugs with his teeth is all it takes to drag his glove off and drop it into his lap. He's not really in the habit of touching things with his bare skin, but he has been finding there's a greater amount of precision with small things when there's no cloth in the way. Winding the bird up gently he lifts it up so he can get a better view. Watches its wings flap and levels out his arm, playing a careful balancing game as it takes unsteady steps. Some months ago he wouldn't have understood this. That gears were involved he could have guessed. But how they fit together, the ways they acted upon one another and the other structures contained within the toy-- it wouldn't have even occurred to him to think about it.

He supposes in that way he has changed. It's a strange thing to think about. When he was told he couldn't attend the academy because of his Chosen duties, that furthering his education was unnecessary, he'd felt bitter. But he'd accepted it. And here he is now, far away from that world, learning new things every day.]

Heh. I really am jealous. You did a good job on this.

[Setting the bird carefully on the floor he watches it take a few waddling steps before coming to an abrupt halt.]

You never want to keep any of this stuff for yourself?

[That's what Altessa had done with Tabatha, an android he'd built for Mithos. Whether it'd been pride in his work or laziness or a genuine kindness Zelos had never asked.]
