It's a sound business practice. I can't criticize them for using their heads.
[If the IPS really was aligned against the CDC, attempting contact with them would be nothing short of treasonous. And considering what's recently happened and the cues that something bigger might be going on--]

At least they're kind enough to give us a head's up. Who knows? We might run into them one of these days.
[Ratchet would be lying if he said attempting contact wasn't in his thoughts; but luckily if he keeps it to himself, it's not lying. That's nothing within their grasp at the moment anyhow. Ratchet hadn't the faintest idea yet how their communications systems worked, or more importantly, security. There wasn't going to be any serious thinking along those lines until he knew more about both of those topics. For now, it's a train of thought he pushes to the side; something to worry about later, when they had more information. More means at their disposal.
All he knows right now, is that there's an organization out that is not only opposed to the CDC, but is successful in its opposition. Successful enough to trouble the powers that be. And that's enough to interest Ratchet. Besides, digging up information on the IPS gives him somewhere to focus his energies...somewhere other than pissing off Armada.] FROM: ratchet@cdc.org
do me a favor, Guy? keep this conversation between us.

feels stupid to have to ask that and, you know, i trust you, but. can't be too careful, right?

I think all of us noticed.
[Way to make an impression, Ratchet.]

Ha ha, it might be better to drop by instead if that's what you're aiming for. Rumor has it we've got a few flies on the walls.
[Especially on the network.]
