[Guy remains quiet as Peter vents his anger. He doesn't have the answers that the boy's looking for, no solid reassurance he can give. All he has at his disposal are questions upon questions. He thought that once they boarded the ship, things would clear up. But this situation was no better than Selena VII.
In other words: they were still in the dark.
Their planets were held hostage, the circumstances surrounding their boarding was shady as all hell... but what can they do at this point? The smart move--the one to be made in order to survive--is to keep your head down and walk forward, even if it meant walking straight into a trap.]
Hey. They made you an offer, didn't they? [It's a little out of the blue to be asking this, but--] You mind if I ask what they said?
[Surprisingly, out of all the weirdos he's met on his journey, not one of his friends were the sorts to enjoy fights. The look on Nic's face is way too gleeful for someone who's gotten into a scrape for Guy's liking. But he's a polite man: he'll try laughing it off instead.]
Ha ha, it's a little frightening when you say it like that.
Whoa there, that's a lot all at once! [Even so, he's grinning.] Nah. Where I come from, we were just rediscovering flight. A ship like this, though? It's like a dream come true, I'm telling you. If I ever get the chance, I'd love to pick it apart.
Man, so that's how it is... [Guy rubs the back of his neck, mentally taking notes. Obeying orders was nothing new to him. While he'd never been part of the military, years of living as a servant have taught him to jump when told to. If that's what he has to do here, he'll manage. Somehow.]
So is there a pattern to how we're split up? Or do they just like tossing people into whatever color they like?
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be able to. [The proof, after all, was their presence upon this ship. Though he wonders if there was some limit they had as to what they could accomplish. Guy scratches his head, makes a note to himself to figure that out somehow.]
[Out of a party of morally questionable people, Guy perhaps scores around the level of a friendly dog that occasionally bites the mailman. He blinks at Hiro's look, though he doesn't shy away from it. This kid seems to be the curious type: he's not going to fault him for that. All he can hope for is that he'll keep that curiosity by the time this mission's all said and done.
Another engineer, huh... [In other words, a guy who sounds like he'd be great on orange.] The CDC's got an interesting way of sorting people. Man, you'd probably love the Neheda when you see her, then.
[He's careful in his motions when he reaches out to tap at her blackglass. It won't react to his touch--these things were coded to their owners, it seemed--but he can point out a few things here and there.]
You seem to have figured out how the menu works... [He moves his finger up.] If you go here, you should be able to get to the access files. It's simple enough.
It'd be cool if I was one, wouldn't it... [He shakes his head.] I know a kid called Green. He's got something called an Arcanine. The way you were commanding your dragon reminded me of the way he fights.
[Guy nods, flashes a grin. It's not a bad plan. Animals are afraid of fire: what better way to get them where you want them to go, if not a small spark here and there? They won't have to put themselves directly in harm's way and, if all goes well, they'll wind up with minimal losses.]
You got it. We're going to turn them away from camp by using your fire here. If we can scare them the other way, the day'll be saved.
[He doesn't remember that far back, unfortunately. He accentuates this with a shake of his head.] Can't say I do. It kinda sprung up without any warning. You know how passions are. They catch you when you aren't looking.
Well, that's what it sounded like to me. I wasn't around when Ajna happened, mind you. [It's something he's been chewing on throughout the course of this entire mission. Was it that they couldn't send supplies, or was it that they wanted to push the recruits to the brink? Failure of a mission doesn't seem likely, as he doubts the consequences for that would be pretty for any of the parties involved.]
And I'm afraid we have been here for a while. [He's begun to forget what it felt like to sleep somewhere where the wildlife wasn't constantly trying to kill you. He manages a humorless smile.] Taking care of an entire planet is something you can't exactly rush.
[You see awful things when you travel around Auldrant. The CDC isn't exactly a cakewalk, either. Creatures clawing their way from tears in the sky, the undead limping about in the sewers-- in retrospect, someone else might've run from the steaming corpse stretched out before them, none the wiser. But despite his easygoing countenance, Guy isn't someone who is quick to turn away. Not even from something like this.
He's not close to Eren. But Eren is a teammate. They're on the same crew, serving the same sentence together. If he can learn something about him out of this, Guy will consider it a benefit for the future. At the very least, it'll give him something to remember about this kid.
(Though it'll be hard to forget about something like this, that's for damn sure.)
Guy zips up his bag as Eren finishes off the water, attentive as he talks. He looks back over at him, curiosity preceding his concern. The kid isn't bleeding visibly now, at least. And he can piece together sentences.]
I thought titans were what people from your world fought against. [Beat.] Are shifters something you can choose to be?
TSUNA.
[Tsuna...]
Don't mention it. People should look out after each other. [Said with a big smile, to boot.] You planning to have a look around the place?

Believe me, I've had experience with things flying and exploding at me. [JRPG battles.. are...]
I think I'm more than ready to handle what's thrown at me.

GINO.
[Gino's question is met with a soft laugh.] I look like it with how I'm standing around, don't I? Yeah. I'm one of the additions to the Green Team.
